Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the "Klassy" Kappa Nu Sigma - San Fernando Valley Alumnae chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. The mission of Kappa Nu Sigma is to embody the principles of Sisterhood, Scholarship, and Service.
Chartered in 2007, the Kappa Nu Sigma chapter (KNS) has been a distinguished contributor to the San Fernando Valley, serving the community with both style and sophistication. Though our chapter is comprised of a collective of accomplished women from diverse backgrounds, we all are collectively dedicated to serving our community with effectiveness. #ServiceIsWhatWeDo!
Kappa Nu Sigma is a three-time Western Region Chapter of the Year winner and the recipient of numerous locally and regionally recognized accolades. KNS takes pride in our commitment to service, whether it’s in the San Fernando Valley or in prominent leadership positions on the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. regional or international levels.

What We Do
Excellence is the only option!
The Kappa Nu Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is committed to fostering positive change in the community through impactful civic, social, educational, and economic initiatives, with a particular emphasis on youth development. Our chapter collaborates with organizations such as Penny Lane Residential Center, Mothers-In-Action, and Project Angel Food. Additionally, we proudly serve as the advising Graduate Chapter for the Epsilon Phi Chapter at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), offering program advice, mentoring, academic support, and scholarships to undergraduate sorority members to enhance their personal and professional growth.
Guided by the values embodied in Sigma Gamma Rho’s motto, "Greater Service, Greater Progress," Kappa Nu Sigma stands as a beacon of leadership and service in the San Fernando Valley.

The Kappa Nu Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. embodies a lifelong dedication to sisterhood, scholarship, and service through welcoming new members, continuing the journey with our seasoned sorors, and embracing those who rededicate themselves to our cause at the graduate level. Our sisterhood transcends the San Fernando Valley, connecting a global network of accomplished professional women committed to uplifting, empowering, and supporting one another.
